Teach my child math and English, not sex

Recently a story covered by the American Family Association (AFA) shed light on the issues that are taking place right under our nose, in our schools, against our children and against the family.

The National Education Association (NEA) is now embracing and supporting the homosexual agenda.  What this means for our families and children is this; they want homosexual studies taught in our classrooms to promote homosexual tolerance and acceptance.  This is not something that is going on in specific areas or state; this is on a national scale.  The NEA is trying to mask this agenda with a hate crime legislation, which will give it more power to be accepted and supported by law.

They have even gone so far as to include homosexual resources that supports homosexual causes on their website as well as urging NEA members to make sexual orientation a training requirement to become a licensed teacher.

Our children should not be subject to the “acceptance” of sexual orientation and lifestyles; instead they should be focused on reading, math and science.

We must stand up and fight for our children at all costs.  If we as a community don’t stand together to address the issues of not allowing moral issues to interfere with the education of our children, we will lose our voice and our children will be pawns in the fight between church and state.  The National Education Association is supposed to be the voice for the educational needs of students across America. Somewhere along the way they have lost sight of what really matters. Their concerns should be seeing to it that America’s children will be prepared to meet the challenge of today’s competitive fields of medicine, law, corporate business, etc., how to fix the underachieving standard of our youth when measured against Chinese and Japanese students, ways to develop the improvements needed in school curriculum, school safety and underpaid teachers. These are the issues we need to challenge the NEA to focus their attentions on.

While the NEA contributes tens of thousands of dollars to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, our students are faced with failing test scores, peer violence and insufficient funds for basic school materials like toilet paper, books and school supplies. Trying to pressure students to accept same-sex relationships, as “families” is something our children do not need added to their plates, in the midst of an  already burdened educational crisis.

Fact is, most people understand that our little ones can be easily persuaded and though some people choose to tamper with that knowledge we have to choose to protect it. Recent surveys show, “people ages 18-25 are much more tolerable to the concepts of same-sex marriage and homosexual relationships,” says Diane Gramley, who heads the American Family Association of Pennsylvania, “because organizations such as the National Education Association are promoting the concept that ‘gay is okay’ in our schools.”   As quoted in the AFA article, “It matters little to the NEA that Johnny may be unable to read and write, as long as he learns to support same-sex marriage.”

Now that should be against the law.

Power Paren-T-een Tip of the Week:
Parents, let your schools know that it is not okay to take time from your child’s core learning subjects to protect the sexual orientation and preferences of other students.
