Fighting for you

It is amazing what we will fight for
It is amazing what we will fight for, and what we will give away so easily. You’ve heard the stories of carjacked victims who fought off their attacker to keep their car that they worked so hard to get. We arm our homes with the most sophisticated alarm systems to protect our property from would-be criminals who lurk in the night to steal our prized possessions.

We guard our identity to assure our good names will not be ruined by predators who seek to steal and destroy our faith in mankind. But have you ever thought about how we protect our worldly possessions and give away so much of “who” we are so easily without a fight, without a hint of a battle to save ourselves? Brothas will wait hours at the dealership to service and clean their cars but will not make an appointment to see a doctor about their health.

Fight for who you are: We spend years in relationships with people we don’t like and, quite frankly, they don’t like us either, and we wither away in bottomless partnerships with no value or personal substance.

Fight for who you are: You may be confused or perplexed about what direction your life is pointed in right now but it does not mean you should change your course.

Fight for who you are: Have faith in the decisions you make. Be bold with what you want out of this life and honest with yourself about what it will take to accomplish your personal goals and self fulfillment. Be a blessing in the lives of people around you who rely on you to be at your best, but not losing yourself in the process.

Fight for who you are: Don’t allow other people to define who you are, to be who they think you should be, and when you should be it. Ask them to be patient with you as you travel this journey to discover your greatness
.
In the midst of others loving you, don’t forget to give yourself some love and “fight for who you are.” Keep in mind that whatever it is that you are going though, know that it is all in divine order.
