Confident. Remarkably pretty. Fiery-spirited.Don’t get it twisted because you don’t have to think rugged in order to know this girl can spit!
Leafing through her promotional CD provides a good insight into her full-length album, “It’s Tygeraa,” produced by a team of experts including work from cousultant/artist developer, Adam Rogers, representing Bad Boy Productions and Interscope Records. “It’s Tygeraa” is slated for release on My Daddy’s Records label early next year.
Refreshingly, there are no two, three or even four-step dance songs. Thankfully, no one-hit wonders of catchy phrases like “ah bey bey!” (sorry Lil’ Hurricane) and without the boisterous “stuntin.” Instead, Tygeraa maxes out the laid-back tunes of Detroit that will be sampled over again and again, blending her resonant voice on top of every track.
Vibing off of hip-hop, gangsta and R&B, her style doesn’t reside in the getting money factor, MOB/MONs mentality or the expletive notes of catching a man, Tygeraa turns it around, keeping it simple and reminiscent of the other facets of everyday life, especially how it’s done up in Detroit.
“Come Out and Play,” with a video to match on Youtube, is a lyrical ode to the low-key side of Detroit – ridin’ around The Rock, Rouge or Chandler parks, hanging with the fam, barbequing and just taking some time out.
In straightforward renditions on other tracks like “I Want You,” she skillfully describes what she wants and how she wants it romantically, her swift spiel adding a raunchy tang without the crud.
Plateauing her other cuts to another level, relatable, reveals that they’re indicative of her early-life experiences. Tygeraa states: “It made me step up my game and be a little lady,” who had to grow up fast.
Already well-known in the streets for her lyrical prowess, Tygeraa, 24, gets it done one way or the other. “She’s got the energy, she’s got the drive,” states her newfound manager, T. Perkins of My Daddy’s Records.
Starting out, selling her CD’s from the back of her Chevy conversion van with her girls for $10 a pop, it was fate when she pushed her CDs onto (unbeknownst to her) SickNotes’ producers Pep and Dewitt as well as Dogmatic and the late Proof ,who were riding together the same day through an east side gas station.
Enthralled by her drive and dedication, the crew offered her studio time, space and beats, helping to cultivate her raw style and hipipng her onto the ins and outs of the music game. Later, adding to her promotional mix, she peformed at all the hot spots, past and present, including Juanita’s, Coco’s House of Comedy, St. Andrews and the Zoo Bar.
Currently, however, Tygerra’s relaxing her stripes until she releases her debut album, careful not to give away too much before she sends you on a pursuit to buy her CD in stores.

I'LL agree she's Badd! Skills tight but whats up with her promoting herself? I mean I see her on divorce court and went online to find out more about her and to see if she really had talent. I found her myspace page with no friends,, she hadn't logged on in months. I'll give you a lil advice sista, because u and I both know you have talent. Get someone to get your internet stuff up to date. I mean this is a free vehicle you can use to get your music into millions of peoples ears for free, use this shit man. I hate to see someone so talented not using all the avenues available to her to promote herself. Once again.. i'll say you're a bad chick. I love that one song you have on your myspace page. Tygeraa is real cool in person. She's a regular at the gas station I work at. I must also say, she's been an inspiration to me to get back into rapping myself. So I'm happy to say, I'm currently working on a sampler CD and eventually a self published album with Work First Records. Shout out to all my folks in the 211 eastside of Detroit and my producer Da Barracuda.
