Competitive pressures continue to ignite, as the ratio of women to men is grossly unbalanced. The term a good man is hard to find is an understatement and devastating for women searching for a qualitative partner. Many wives and girlfriends are mandated to live up to constant visual images that portray an unrealistic view of real womanhood. Unrelentingly the world is overflowing with the tawdry sexual images and female exploitation comprising the Video Vixen’s Era.

Disillusioned young girls regurgitate dysfunctional behaviors as seen on TV and internet interfaces, such as YouTube and MySpace, to catapult their popularity amongst both sexes. Misguided fervor to adapt these tools as relationship guides leaves them void of love and in a torrent of endless affairs. Losing themselves in a cyclical confound of unhealthy relationships, they lack the understanding of a very simplistic rule; when women compromise, men do not have to.

As long as we support the continuation of our culture glorifying images that depict women as anything less than queens, we perpetuate the ignorance and disrespect warranted. Women’s Lib efforts have done little in combating the negative portrayals dominating mass media, thus calling for a New Millennium Feminine Revolution. This revolution begins when we realize our self worth, God given talents, take a realistic self-inventory and demand respect through our actions. It begins when we stop walking in the images of personalities like New York or Superhead. Sistahs, it begins when we stop being baby mama’s and start being wives. In order for this revolution to be successful, we must take a united front. Our revolution is one that you and I must take together if we are to reclaim our voices as Queens. We must create a movement so deep that it will affect a nation and so strong that this revolution will be televised.
