Creature As a stipulation of his bond, Kilpatrick must now wear an electronic device that will limit his travels to the Detroit tri-county area.
The mayor may also be facing additional bond violation charges stemming from a recent visit to his mother’s home due to the fact that his sister, Ayanna Kilpatrick Ferguson, was also in attendance. According to reports Kilpatrick was ordered not to have any contact with any witnesses to the alleged altercation between the mayor and a Wayne County Sheriff’s detective.
Doug Baker, a special prosecutor for the Michigan Attorney General’s office, has requested that the mayor’s bond be amended because the meeting between Ayanna and Kwame at their mother’s home was a violation of the terms and conditions set forth by the court on Aug. 8.

WTF?
This is a photograph of a creature that washed up on the shore of a New York beach earlier this month. Could it be some sort of undiscovered species or a result of someone’s sick idea of cross-breeding.

Warning on website scam
Sen. Gilda Z. Jacobs (D-Huntington Woods) warns residents against using a fraudulent website that charges $19.95 plus a biweekly fee to get unemployment benefits processed. Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) does not charge residents for collecting unemployment benefits.
"According to the state's Department of Labor and Economic Growth (DLEG), there is only one official website that unemployed workers should use when applying for unemployment benefits in Michigan and that site belongs to the state's Unemployment Insurance Agency at www.michigan.gov/uia," said Sen. Jacobs. "This is a deplorable example of a consumer scam that preys on some of our most vulnerable citizens."
In fact, according to DLEG officials, the rules for collecting unemployment benefits preclude a third party reporting unemployment status, even if the site is legitimate.
While unofficial or fraudulent websites are often created to look official, their use can result in delaying benefits or facilitating identity theft. Potential users should never enter personal information in a non-state-sponsored site.
The new federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, along with the usual summer auto industry slowdowns, has caused a temporary backup in processing applications. Applicants are asked to demonstrate patience while the department copes with the new "emergency" caseload.
