Daniel Craig is back as 007 on the heels of the 2006 blockbuster hit "Casino Royale" in the highly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure, "Quantum of Solace," directed by Marc Forster.

This time around the dangerously debonair secret agent finds himself in the center of a personal mission to uncover the truth behind his dead lover's betrayal, only to discover a sinister plot that is far more complex and dangerous than he could have ever imagined.

After being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, and an intense opening action sequence followed by a chilling interrogation, it is revealed by Mr. White that "they have people everywhere." From the moment those words are spoken, a cataclysmic chain of events is set into motion, causing 007 to deal with his inner demons while trying to save the world.

In the midst of a proverbial onslaught of mayhem, a clever "who's who" cast returns to assist Bond in his quest for the truth. Judi Dench ("Golden Eye," "Chronicles of Riddick") is classic in her role as "M" and Jeffrey Wright ("W," "Blackout," "Lackawanna Blues") is riveting in his return as the enigmatic Felix Leiter.

In the true fashion of what audiences have come to love and expect from the James Bond series, this film is packed with high-speed action, futuristic spy gadgets, intense fight sequences, beautiful people and danger lurking around every corner.

"What I think is exciting about this movie and what was exciting about the previous movie was that it does match the contemporary complexity of the day," said Wright.

"Audiences are more sophisticated, we have more information available to us about the contemporary

socio-political landscape, if you will, that this movie plays itself out on. The real world is not this simplistic in spite of the attempts of some folks lead us to believe. It is complex and gray, and I'm very pleased with the way that Marc Forster has kind of captured those types of nuances through this film."

As a newcomer to the Bond genre in a long line of cinematic heavyweights, such as Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig brings his own fresh new perspective to the 007 character that will not soon be forgotten. With his penetrating blue eyes, suave demeanor and killer mystique, Craig is captivatingly convincing in his role without being overbearing in his delivery.

"I wanted to do the best job I could, that's all I wanted to do," Craig said when asked how he felt about filling the role as the new James Bond. "Because when you've got a legacy that's over 60 years old, you want to make sure you do it right and that is all that was on my mind."

"Quantum of Solace" is definitely an edge-of-your-seat, action packed film that will tickle the fancy of not only die-hard James Bond fans, but newcomers as well. It is now in theaters. Check local listings for locations and show times.
