Dodge Grand Caravan has come a long way. As the first in a booming segment of large family vehicles it’s the catalyst to the minivan market. Indeed, the first of its kind, it continues to hold the top spot as the highest selling minivan. Aesthetically, the Caravan has been ahead of the pack.

Detroit travelers saved an estimated $109 million last year, thanks to lower average domestic airfares during 2007 compared to 2005. According to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) numbers, Detroit was lower than 78.7 percent of the nation’s top 300 airports.

According to a U.S. Department of Justice study, nearly 25 percent of surveyed women said they were raped and/or physically assaulted by a current or former spouse, cohabitating partner, or date at sometime in their lifetime. According to these estimates, approximately 1.5 million women were raped and/or physically assaulted by an intimate partner annually.

The United Auto Workers Union announced it had reached a tentative contract with Ford Motor Co. this past weekend, averting a strike and capping a watershed period of labor negotiations in Detroit.
