The Clintons’ hypocrisy

In a May 11 roundtable discussion on “Flashpoint,” Democratic strategist and super delegate Debbie Dingell argued that Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton has every reason to stay in the race until a nominee is secured. Her logic is that the remaining states should be heard in terms of who their candidate is in this heated contest for the White House. This hot contest is healthy for the Democratic Party, Dingell asserted.

Exploiting pain at the pump

It is said that politicians are folks who promise to build bridges where there is no river. I am sure that if a survey were done today, we would find a lot of elected officials who have made huge promises and never did a thing to fulfill those promises to voters. On the other hand, there are a few elected officials who have shown voters they have a backbone and can push through and make their promises and programs realities.

Aramark
The Detroit Board of Education is set for a May 8 historic vote involving food giant Aramark. The vote will determine whether the Philadelphia based company, which has managed the food service operation of the Detroit Public Schools for more than five years, will continue to do so or not. Aramark officials in a recent editorial meeting said the company has an excellent track record of meeting the food service needs of its clients.

Beatty’s lawyer says no ‘cracks’ in case
