Boy Scouts To Honor Chronicle Publisher

Michigan Chronicle pub­lisher Sam Logan will be honored on Oct. 22 at the 2009 Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award Dinner, being held at the Detroit Athletic Club.

The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award is a national award presented by local Boy Scouts of America councils to recognize outstanding service by an adult or organization in the development of scouting and other programs for urban youth. The dinner will recognize Logan for his service and involvement in the development of Detroit scouting. The event will also raise funds to support Scoutreach and other scouting programs in Detroit.
