Identity of Body Confirmed

The Wayne County’s Prosecutor Office released a statement yesterday confirming that the body found floating in the Detroit River was identified as Joann Matouk Romain, 55, of Grosse Pointe Woods. Dental records confirmed her identity. She had been missing since January 12, 2010.

Police will continue to investigate the cause of her death. No other information was released.
