Sorry folks, the holidays are officially over -- for the Obamas, at least. After celebrating Christmas in sunny Hawaii (Michelle even personally called children about Santa!), the first family made their way back to the White House yesterday, marking the end of their annual trip to the president's hometown.

Of course, the always-thrifty Michelle Obama knew just what to wear for the occasion: the same exact dress she wore while stepping off the plane in Honolulu in December. This time, she opted to pair the geometric printed number with a black cropped cardigan and chunky sandals.

The art of packing light is not one that we can say we've mastered (just ask all of the airport check-in personnel that have scoffed off our pleadings to forget about the whole over 50 lbs. rule just this once). But Mrs. O's ability to effortlessly switch things up with one single travel dress is definitely convincing us that this tactic could be worth a try. Plus, maybe we'd look as fresh as the first lady does if we had a few less garments to lug around the airport...
