Tuesday Is The Last Day To Register To Vote

LANSING (WWJ) – If you want to cast a ballot in the November 6 General Election, today (Tuesday, Oct. 9) is the last day to register to vote.
To register, applicants must be at least 18 years old by election day and be a U.S. citizen. Applicants must also be residents of Michigan and of the city or township in which they wish to register.
Voters may at their county, city or township clerk’s office or by visiting any Secretary of State branch office. Complete details about how to register are available from the state at this link.
To check registration status, residents may visit the online Michigan Voter Information Center, where they can also find information on absentee voting, Michigan’s voter identification requirement, how to use voting equipment and how to find or contact their local clerk. In addition, they will find a map to their local polling place and a sample ballot.
