DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Coney dogs, cars, baseball fields covered in crisp fall leaves — what’s more Motown than that?
Well, maybe one thing: Aretha Franklin.
The Queen of Soul will sing the national anthem at World Series Game 5 in Detroit’s Comerica Park as the Tigers host the San Francisco Giants, according to USA Today.
This is Franklin’s second appearance at a game; she opened game three of the American League Championship Series when the Tigers hosted the Texas Rangers.
Marvin Winans, a member of Detroit’s favorite gospel singing family, will take the mound before game three in Detroit, per USA Today.
