Directing Resources

I am opposed to increasing the millage. Funds should be better directed to lower education instead of providing so much of our resources on remedial education at the community college. I am not saying that all their courses are remedial and they do not offer some very good courses. I am saying that a lot of the money we send is wasted in many ways. While it is improved it is still a black hole for a chunk of our money. We are bleeding jobs in our state. We need to direct our attention on finding what jobs will be available. We should establish a cooperative agreement with business to see what they will need rather than train people to find a job out of state taking our tax investment with them. We are spending millions on retraining people and there is no job for them to go to or financial resources to spare. This is like putting the cart before the horse.
