look at every city and every area where unions were big and you will find disater and failure it just that simple. it doesnt take millons of dollars in reports and investigations . just look at the auto industry and you can go down the line at one time unions did a good job for workers but now days the unions are nothing but carpet baggers and theifs and at one time i was president of largest local in my state until i saw and heard how things were done it made me so sick. for instance , when they say the union supports this and such, nope not true! they round up some dolts and get them to vote on the spot on whatever and the call the press saying union voted for tis or that.

Another point... I support abortion rights. I don't like abortions, but women should have the right to have one if they choose. with that said... any doctor has the right to not perform an abortion. Just as they have the right to not perform any procedure - whether for religious beliefs, or not. An employer should not have to pay for the procedure either. Taking a sick day is a given - take two - or whatever the recuperation may be. There is absolutely no reason for an employer to pay for an elective procedure. If there is an emergency - burst blood vessel, auto accident, etc... that an abortion would be part of (and with the employer says it covers the cost) then they should pay.

Right to Work in the short-term will reduce average wages, BUT in the long-term wages - and employment numbers - will rise as the workforce becomes more competitive. Unions, fundamentally, bargain for an average wage that is above a given level of output. That is why workers like it. But consumers pay the extra, which adds to inflation, lower spending power, lower purchases, and ultimately companies have to send jobs to lower wage overseas companies overseas. Equilibrium is just that, equilibrium. It is what "it" wants - not what it is forced to be - without unwanted results (action-reactio n). Unions in history, and current industries with stringent safety requirements (if the union is part of the adherence process), have a place, BUT for a worker to get $50 an hour to screw on lug nuts is not cost effective - and the market will not support it. You can have 1000 workers making 18 an hour or zero workers making 30 an hour. Let the unions shoot for 30 and have employers look overseas.
