Good afternoon Ivory. I rarely take the time to do what I'm doing right now, however, your article flamed a fire that has been burning within me since 2007. In 2007 I began building a company that is intended to address the lack of advocacy for Generation X and, just as importantly, Generation Y. I have a great deal of respect and admiration for what AARP has done for the baby boomers in terms of lobbying, however, I realized many years ago that the organizations that I have supported were missing a huge opportunity to do for Gen Xers what AARP has done for the baby boomers. Instead of continuing to wait for my fave orgs to fill that gap I launched a membership association of my own called IAYA - The International Association of Young Adults. In a nutshell, we are the AARP for young adults (those between 18 and 49), which currently consists of a cross section of Gen Xers and Gen Yers. I applaud you for recognizing this generational void.
