Detroit’s Great Lakes Coffee Celebrates Anniversary Midtown coffeehouse/bar throws party for one-year celebration.
Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company celebrates its one-year anniversary with a daylong party at its Midtown Detroit location. The event takes place Sunday, June 30th from 10AM-10PM at 3965 Woodward Ave.
The 12-hour event is free-of-charge and features a range of activities, music and demonstrations that are family-friendly and of interest to anyone,
Scott Rutterbush, a managing partner of GLCRC, is excited about the bash. “When we opened the doors a year ago, we couldn’t have imagined how much support we’d get from the community. This celebration is as much a thank you to our customers and staff as it is an opportunity to celebrate a great year of business.”
Activities include Cornhole, a cold brew toss, live musical performances, beer/wine/ coffee and chocolate demos and coffee and drink specials. Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company is located at 3965 Woodward Ave. at Seldon St. Event hours are 10AM-10PM and is all ages.
Located in Detroit’s bustling Midtown area, Great Lakes has become a central gathering place for students, business people and creatives. Many of the regular customers refer to it as “the office,’ denoting that they regularly work there, instead of a traditional office. In the evenings, many people enjoy the wide selection of beer, wine, craft cocktails and the small plate food menu that is offered.
GLCRC features artisan producers with an eye on quality and excellence. As coffee roasters this has been their passion for over 15 years.
