In the technology driven world that we live in, it appears that basic social graces, interpersonal skills and the attributes of a gentleman are becoming things of the past. Will that really work for today’s youth?

Thank You: 2010 Fifth Third eBus Community Partners For A Successful Tour

Fifth Third Bank just completed its 2010 eBus Tour that lasted from Aug.12 through Aug. 21. Having outreached to more than 700 area residents, the 2010 tour was a hands-down success. The bus visited eight area communities and provided information and resources that included free credit reports, credit counseling, information on how to sign up for home heating assistance and home heating credits, access to free legal services and provided free dental exams and preventive care for children under 18 years of age.

Fifth Third Bank, Detroit Red Wings Encourage Student Volunteerism With S.H.O.T.S. Program

Last fall, an initiative led by Fifth Third Bank and the Detroit Red Wings encouraged Southeast Michigan high school students to volunteer in the community.  The S.H.O.T.S. program (Students Helping Others Through Service) is an initiative designed to encourage high school students to volunteer their time and efforts while creating a competition among the student groups with monthly and overall winners taking home several great prizes.

During the fifth month and  third day of each year, Fifth Third Bank celebrates Fifth Third Day. Fifth Third Bank celebrated its first Fifth Third Day in 1991.  Each year since then the Bank has found unique ways to celebrate the in-bank holiday that would include employees, customers and the community it serves.  It is now a time honored tradition to celebrate the bank that is synonymous with May 3.
