Here’s What The President Would Say If He Could Go Bulworth

In the overly dramatic story entitled “An Onset of Woes Raises Questions on Obama Vision,” the New York Times reports[1] that President Barack Obama has privately expressed his desire of “going Bulworth,” a reference to the political comedy movie of the same name starring Warren Beatty. If you don’t remember the movie, just know that it was one of many bad choices Halle Berry has made in her career — and she had really, really terrible hair in the film. Oh, and the soundtrack was full of rap songs. Watch a clip of “Bulworth” here: <  That said, the reference speaks to Obama’s yearning to drop his lingering damns in a box and get all the way blunt with his political adversaries and pundits alike. Longtime adviser David Axelrod, whose heard the reference himself, says, “Probably every president says that from time to time. It’s probably cathartic just to say it. But the reality is that while you want to be truthful, you want to be straightforward, you also want to be practical about whatever ...

Retired Mailman Wins Lottery For The Fourth Time!

Retired postal worker Melvyn Wilson (pictured) is probably one of the luckiest men on earth, because on Wednesday, he picked up his fourth winning lottery check, and this time, it was for a whopping $500,000, reports The Washington Times[1]. The Woodbridge, Va., resident, who has won more than $2 million, first hit the lotto jackpot back in 2004, when a scratch card fetched him $25,000. Just one year later, Wilson struck it rich, yet again!  Two more lottery scratch cards resulted in Wilson receiving a $1 million win on one and a $500,000 prize on the other. Two years after his last lotto windfall, Wilson decided to call it quits at the post office. Now nearly eight years since his last big win, Wilson remains cool as a cucumber and almost appears unfazed by the excitement that a fourth win should generate.  Wilson told lottery officials as he claimed his check for $500,000, “‘I’m just in the right place at the right tim ...

Mother’s Day Shooting Suspect Faces 20 Charges

NEW ORLEANS — Jail records show that the suspect in a Mother’s Day parade shooting that wounded 19 people faces 20 charges of attempted second-degree murder. Nineteen-year-old Akein Scott (pictured) was arrested Wednesday night in the Little Woods section of New Orleans. He was already facing a gun and drug possession charge and was out on bond at the time of Sunday’s shooting at a parade through a neighborhood near the French Quarter. Investigators said he was identified as a suspect after police released surveillance video that appeared to show the shooter running from the scene as the crowd scattered. It was not immediately clear why 20 counts were filed when authorities have said 19 people were injured. Police were expected to release more details on the case Thursday. Saudi Man Arrested With Pressure Cooker At DTW

A Saudi man is jailed in Detroit following his arrest over the weekend by authorities who alleged he altered his passport and was not truthful about why he had a pressure cooker in his luggage. According to a criminal complaint, Al Kwawahir Hussain reportedly could not explain to U.S. Customs officers at Detroit Metropolitan airport why pages were missing from his Saudi passport on Saturday. He told them only his family had access to it and he kept it locked in a box, and that he was planning on visiting his nephew, according to the court filing. During followup security screening, customs officers discovered a pressure cooker in his luggage. Pressure cookers are not illegal but have been in the spotlight since authorities said they were used in the Boston Marathon bombings. "Initially, he said that he brought the pressure cooker for his nephew because pressure cookers are not sold in America," the complaint said. But Hussain allegedly changed his story and said his nephew had purchased one in the United States that "was cheap" and broke after its first use, officers reported. Based on the conflicting stories and missing pages in his passport, Hussain was arrested and charged with altering a passport and making materially false statements. A U.S. official familiar with the matter said the intelligence community is aware of the case and is tracking it, but has not seen anything to indicate anything suspicious. Hussain was ordered at an initial court appearance on Monday to remain in custody temporarily. CNN was unable to reach the public defender representing him. He is due back in court on Tuesday. CNN's Bill Mears contributed to this report.   http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2013/05/13/passport-pressure-cooker-problematic-for-traveler/?hpt=hp_t2
