Cairo (CNN) -- [Breaking news update, 4:20 p.m. ET]
-- At least seven people were killed and 260 injured Friday in clashes across Egypt between supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and his opponents, Ministry of Health spokesman Ahmed Osman told CNN.
-- The military has cleared the bridges near Cairo's Tahrir Square where clashes were reported between supporters of Morsy and those opposed to his rule, according to CNN reporting teams on the ground.
-- Egyptian authorities are enforcing a curfew in the northern Sinai Peninsula until 6 a.m. local time Saturday, according to a post on interim President Adly Mansour's official Twitter account.

Post-coup violence erupts in Egypt
Fighting erupted Friday night in Cairo between hundreds of supporters of Mohamed Morsy and their opponents, with the two sides facing off on a bridge, raising fears of widening violence after the military ousted the country's first democratically elected president.
