Obama promised in his victory speech earlier this month to engage with Romney following their bitter campaign and consider the Republican’s ideas.

“In the weeks ahead, I also look forward to sitting down with Gov. Romney to talk about where we can work together to move this country forward,” Obama said at the time.

Obama aides said they reached out to Romney’s team shortly before Thanksgiving to start working on a date for the meeting. The two men will meet in the White House’s private dining room, with no press coverage expected.

In the days after his loss, Romney told top donors that the president was re-elected because of the “gifts” Obama provided to Blacks, Hispanics, and young voters,[2] all of which are core Obama

Williams reportedly took off his helmet and yelled, “I’m not going to stop!”

Police called off the chase because of public safety and reportedly plan on charging the comedian with felony evasion.

Medical Marijuana Illinois: Veto Session Could Make Legal Weed A Reality

Medical Marijuana Illinois: Veto Session Could Make Legal Weed A RealityMedical Marijuana Illinois: Veto Session Could Make Legal Weed A Reality

It's considered a lame duck session, but Illinois lawmakers will be scrambling to decide the fate of several hot-button issues, including possibly legalizing medical marijuana, when they reconvene in the statehouse on Tuesday.

Part of HB 30[1] includes the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act, allowing qualified patients under medical care to buy and use up to 2.5 ounces pot during a two-week period.

According to the pro-pot non-profit group, NORML, legislative support[2] for legalizing medical marijuana in the state House of Representatives has fallen just shy of a majority in previous roll calls on the matter. The state Senate approved the medical marijuana bill in Illinois[3] in 2009.

The bill's sponsor, Skokie Democrat state Rep. Lou Lang, told the Northwest Indiana Times this month that 92 of his House colleagues have said they hope to see the bill pass[4], but are hesitant to publicly vote in its favor due to "political reasons."

Currently, 18 other states have

Davis and several other teens (two 17-year-olds and an 18 year-old) were sitting in an SUV playing music. Dunn, apparently having a problem with the volume, told the teens to turn the music down, leading him and Davis — who was sitting in the backseat — to exchange words.

Everything went downhill from there.
