On December 6, 2004, an alleged interview^[1] appeared involving tennis mega-superstar Serena Williams (pictured) that mysteriously flooded e-mail inboxes everywhere.  The question and answer printed dialogue depicted Williams as a self-hating individual who put Black men down by making explosive statements about them such as, “They [Black men] will be obsolete in 10 years…once artificial insemination has become as common and accessible as the flu shot.” But the comment that picked up the most steam was her allegedly saying, “A White man is the only choice for a successful Black female.”  Almost immediately, the e-mail became viral, but did the interview actually take place or was it the stuff of urban legends?

New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne was hospitalized in Los Angeles, CA  after experiencing another seizure, reports the NY Daily News.^[1]

The rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital late Tuesday night by his bodyguards and was released early Wednesday morning.

At least three Morehouse College athletes have been accused of raping an 18-year-old Spelman College student, WSB-TV 2 in Atlanta reports^[1].

The accused are basketball players Malcolm Frank, a junior from Decatur, and Chukwudi Ndudikwa, a senior from Atlanta. Both are charged with rape. Tevin Mgbo, another basketball player, is charged with kidnapping and reckless conduct, according to Fulton County Courthouse records. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports^[3] that the three men appeared before a student conduct hearing on campus after the arrest warrants were issued.
