WASHINGTON — It’s more than President Barack Obama‘s lackluster debate performance that has some Democrats on edge a month from Election Day.

Party loyalists in Washington and in battleground states are fretting that Obama’s campaign has been slow to rebound after Republican Mitt Romney‘s commanding debate. They’re worried that the Democratic ticket isn’t aggressive enough in blocking Romney’s post-debate pivot to the political center. And they fear Romney’s new effort to show a softer side gives the Republican nominee an opening with female voters, who are crucial to the president’s re-election prospects.
“I’m not feeling very positive,” said Awilda Marquez, a prominent Democrat in Colorado. “I know that it’s only the first debate, but he can’t seem to change the relentless negative coverage. Romney has been able to take control.”
Her nervousness was echoed by roughly a dozen Democrats in interviews across the country

Detroit Home Owner Claims She And Her Baby Are Forced To Live With Squatter
Category: RTM News Reel Written by News One
A Detroit home owner told Fox News 2 Detroit[1] in a televised interview that she and her baby have been forced to live with a squatter.
Heidi Peterson says that she was away from her home for a year but found another woman living there upon her return. That woman, Tracey Elaine Blair, has been living there for several months, according to neighbor’s accounts.
Peterson says that Blair believes her home is part of a special program through which people can claim houses, fix them up and keep them. The woman, by law, cannot be removed by force until Peterson goes through the court system to prove that she actually owns the home. And, because she spent all of her money on the house, she is forced to share it with Blair. In fact, they sleep just feet away from each other in separate rooms.

Obviously, Peterson doesn’t feel secure.
“I thought if the house is not safe, how can I come here with my child? There’s an issue with that. But should

Female Olympic Boxing Champ: ‘I Ain’t Never Seen A Woman Who Boxes Like Me’
Category: RTM News Reel Written by News One
FLINT, Mich.– The ferociousness that won Claressa Shields (pictured) an Olympic gold medal melted away as she climbed on the podium to claim it.
She giggled and grinned as she caressed it, the prettiest thing the 17-year-old boxer ever had. She shimmied and bounced. She belted out the national anthem with gusto. Finally, unable to contain herself any longer, she held the medal high in the air, threw her head back and laughed.
“This gold medal,” Shields said, “will make my life a lot better.”
Truth is, she can thank herself for that.
“It took a lot for her to get to where she is, because she so easily could have gone in a different direction,” said Mickey Rouse, who along with husband Jason Crutchfield, Shields’ coach, has taken Shields in.

Unwilling to accept a life of poverty, crime or worse, Shields found her family, her passion and her way out through a small, dark basement gym.
“If you want something,” she said, “you’ve got to get it

Police in Charlotte, N. C., are delving into a case involving a high school student who thought his technical education, Ellen Vick, needed more junk in her trunk. So the student allegedly made the decision to spike her coffee with butt enhancement pills during class, according to Gawker[1].
Local authorities claim the drug that was put in Vick’s coffee is called “GluteBoost,” which is a supplement that claims to plump butts up. School officials discovered an empty package of the supplement–three capsules had been emptied and one was left untouched. It is not known where exactly the packet was found.
